Scotland Pakistan Scholarships 2025

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls cover graduate studies for Pakistani women at any HEC-recognized university in Pakistan. The Scottish Government backs these grants to open more doors for women, helping them chase their goals and reach their full potential.

Young women with disabilities, from rural areas and/or minority groups are encouraged to apply.

British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and coordinate with selected scholars and universities either directly or through nominated university focal persons.

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls is available for candidates pursuing either:

• Undergraduate level for a four-year’s bachelor’s degree in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan
• Master’s levels degree with a maximum two-year master’s/MPhil degree in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.

The Award

Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls Scheme will facilitate award-holders with the following:

• Tuition fees for courses in eligible fields
• University hostel costs (where applicable)
• Travel to and from home to university two times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels

Subject Areas

The scholarship will cover a four-year bachelor’s or two-years master’s degree at an HEC-recognised Pakistani university in one of the following subject areas only:

• Education
• Sustainable Energy
• Food Security and Agriculture
• Health Sciences
• STEM (only for Masters degree)
• Climate

Eligibility Criteria

These scholarships are open to female applicants only.

In addition, applicants must:

• Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan
• Be pursuing a two year master’s degree or four years bachelors degree in the above listed subject areas
• Hold a confirmed admission offer from an HEC recognised university in Pakistan

How to Apply for Scotland Pakistan Scholarships 2025

1. Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
2. Upload all required documents, such as CNIC, academic certificates, and recent photographs.
3. Double-check the information and submit your application.
4. Carefully review the job advertisement and confirm your eligibility, including age, education, gender, and other requirements.
5. Ensure your application, whether online or manual, is submitted before the last date: 31 august 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
